This is what I ended up with...
var newfile = this.documentFileName.replace(/.pdf$/i, "") +".docx";
Works well. i can press Start and then go away and it will do the whole batch without any human input.
The only annoying thing is that the Acrobat window keeps regaining focus between each file, even if I hide it. The workaround for that is to put Acrobat in a Space of its own.

I'm using Acrobat Pro DC (macOS) and have set up an Action to Export PDF to DOCX format.
I have specified the files I wish to include.
However, I have to click the following buttons for each file:

Is there a way to not have to be present whilst it does these conversions?

I'm not a graphic designer and I need some help regarding Pantone colors.
Although I work in the design field my main job over the years is 3d modeling for architecture and industrial design, so printing and GD isn't my thing.
I just wanted to make a cool b-card for me and my services.
I picked two colors from the Pantone C range that I wanted to use. I read about color modes and although I already have the basics I need some help.
When I decided to print what I got I took my file which was made in Inkscape (Idon't want to buy Ai just for 1 b-card) to the print shop for a test print on coated paper. The guy there uses Ai and just dropped the SVG file in Illustrator. His workflow was in CMYK and of course the colors changed.
When I made the vector file I used the HEX color values since it's that's what Inkscape works in.
My question is since this little project uses just two colors is it appropriate to open the SVG in the Ai with CMYK workflow and just edit the values as shown in the official page.

load paragraph is the best option I guess, I recently used that for the same purpose. For importing paragraph styles from one PSD to another.

First I want to Ask if that lines are fill or stroke.
And if you have checked the scale strokes & effects checkbox beside allign to pixel grid.
If it is still a stroke or not expanded then you must always check the scale strokes & effects checkbox. As shown some samples.
This is a sample of lines ond the first right side(stroke only) copied and scaled with scale strokes & effects checkbox shown on Transform window. As shown it's ratio is ok.
This is a sample of lines // far right (stroke only) copied and NOT scaled with scale strokes & effects checkbox. It's distorted or not proportional to the original
And if it outlined/Expanded use scale Tool as shown and check the scale strokes and effect also.

Is there a tool out there similar to Typekit that would enable me to host/organize my personal font library on the cloud AND keep them continuously synched across my devices and design programs such as Sketch, Adobe CC, etc.?

Why is the blending behavior different on a group?
Layer vivid light blend over colored layer.
Exaxt same layer inside a group with vivid light blend.
And is there any way to get the below effect with just a layer? I tried replicating the effect in HTML/CSS but it showed up as the above image but I did not about this behavior inside Photoshop so I thought CSS was bugging out. I'd like to understand this behavior in Photoshop so I can either mimic this properly in CSS or ask a proper question at SO.

My goal is to achieve the following:
Batch resize images with different background colors
I already use Photoshop to batch process and center (horizontal and vertical align) 2000 different images into square 200 x 200 tiles on a white background (the images are different in size, background color, and sometimes file-type).
I can process and batch resize the images and place them on a white 200x200 tile using the batch processor and recorded 'Actions'. With transparent .png images this looks great.
Problem: Some of the images have a colored background. If an image has a colored background a white border around the image looks quite awful.
This is how the output currently looks:
How do I dynamically resize the non transparent images of different colors and sizes to 200x200 square .jpg images? I can do it manually with the color-picker but is there another option?
As you can see it is only a problem when images have a colored background.

Green because it helps the eye to cool off Naturally. And white for easy reading Texts.

Maybe Topaz DeNoise could help? This is example of it:
After zoom it looks much better.
Topaz is a plugin with many different options to help with photo-editing, like denoising, "clearing" images, or adjusting colour filters. You can download trial version here => www.topazlabs.com/
For your problem, I used DeNoise plugin, which is most preferable for that kind of "smoothing" things.

If it Starts from Illustrator given it is a vector file. Can you check if the shape that have same color separated from each other? If Yes Merge them with Path Finder or Shape Builder Tool to eliminate that line.
A. Select the upper and lower path; then Pathfinder>Unite
B. Select the upper and lower path; Shift+M then Click and Drag to the two Separated Shapes
If it is not separated in vector or Ai format; based on my experience I guess the problem is the exporting from InDesign to PDF. Check your PDF Settings maybe it is low PDF type that it it chop some files. But surprisingly it is the only shape affected and the others are Okay. :-)
: Re: So what's difference between MAYA and Blender? So I am studying blender in my school as alternative subject for about 10 months and some of classmates recommended me this application (MAYA).
Look at some projects on internet. As long as you can have a great portefolio with Blender you can get a job with it. Blender its free, you can use it in any computer. That is a awsome advantage with Blender. Thats very litle that Maya can do that Blender can do but look at the cost of Maya software.

Is it possible to create a form or a table that is height automatic with Sketch? Like when we write text the text box expands down and expands the rest of the form or table.
I'm trying to do that with symbols, but I don't know if there's a better way.
An example of the type of form I'm trying to create:
I want to make a form that can be filled, but the description part can have more than one line, and I want to make them expand automatically, and make the strokes go down with the box.

Given the background is jpeg or Image
Re-create the curves using pen tool. Not necessarily same color for the mean time. Re color it later.
Select the paths the red target and the curve edges
Use the Shape builder tool (Shift+M); then Press Alt + click the unwanted areas
You can re color it to see the changes
Option 2 - Given the paths are layered; just put the red path behind. it will hide the corners

Here is the photo I'm trying to work with.
The background is heavily pixelated and I want to polish them up. I already polished the top part of the sky using gaussian blur. I want to do the similar on the lower parts of the image but I've found further applying gaussian blur on the lower areas ruins the image with smudged black and etc, and working around the areas between the utility poles and wires seems extremely difficult for me.
What would be the best way to go about this problem? Thank you very much in advance!

: Re: What is the best way to utilize graphs and charts in either Indesign or Illustrator? I am trying to create a one page fact sheet in InDesign or Illustrator. What is the best way to create/show
You can copy and paste PDF format from numbers. Right click on a chart in numbers and copy as PDF. you can then past into indesign or illustrator if you want to change colours fonts etc.
: Re: Choosing a color scheme for 3 layers of material UI cards I'm working on the Android UI at work, and I'm happy with the current color conventions we've used; white cards on a grey background,
When designing mock-ups it's advised to stick to gray scale, much like what you've done. However it doesn't seem like you tried black... which is the colour of one of the buttons (wifi). Maybe give black a shot.
Otherwise, if you have a clear company brand I'd use the main or secondary colours used for the brand. It could be the red on the camera logo that you have there.

I have been given a PNG image of a simple logo and with a transparent background. Size needs to be reduced but the smaller image has jagged edges. I have tried to keep the resolution unchanged, and I even tried to lower the resolution but without result. In this case it may be quicker to create the logo again in the correct size but I would really appreciate a chance to learn why this happens and how to avoid it.
Please note that the logos contain white text and therefore do not display well below.
: Re: Illustrator: how to create a spirograph? I am trying to create a spirograph in Illustrator, as per attachment. How do I do this? Where do I start?
Note that Im using Illustrator CS 6 Differences in shortcut or appearance of the highlighted tool in other versions may occur :-)
First make a circle (Press L or use eclipse tool)
Then use the circle to make a petal shape (Press E or use Free transform tool) drag only the right or left side while pressing alt to have an equal re-shaping.
Then make the lower tip of the petal (Press Shift+C or Use Convert Anchorpoint Tool)
Select the two points left and right then adjust it upward to have the desiged shape (Press A or Direct Selection Tool and the Adjust by up Key)
Change the Anchor Location (Press R + Alt + Location-see reference for my location)
Rotate the Petal by 5 Repeat based on your desired artwork (360/5=72)
(Press R or Use Rotate Tool + type the angle then Press COPY)
Repeat the Copying (Do it 3 Times) by Pressing Ctrl D while the copy is highlighted.
Adjust Your First Petal shape if you need the perfect star inside.
In order the lines to be visible select all the paths/petal layer and make the opacity to be multiply.

: Re: Convert complex artwork into single color I created this logo for a client, and I now need to convert it into one color versions (all black/all white). Because there are so many overlays
Simple adjustment only. Just Try if it work.
1)First Export it as PNG in High resolution or Directly drag the file to photoshop(rasterize it later).
2)Open it in Photoshop>Use black and white effect> adjust the lines or color you want to pop up.
3) Save (See if you have option for saving SVG or PDF because you can revert it back to AI but now the Gradients are pure Black and White)

: Re: How to create this "clover" image on Illustrator Long time listener, first time caller. I have this logo I have been playing around in Canva with and I want to recreate it in Illustrator
Try this method Sir if it can help you. Im using CS6 Illustrator
Create the base circle (first circle)
Create the outer circles
a. Select the path then Copy to back (Ctrl+C then Ctrl+B)
b. Select Scale Tool & then press Alt to change the center of the copy to the bottom anchor point
b1. Adjust the value to the desired radius (for me I used 200%)
Note that the radius of second circle will affect the appearance of the object
c. Go to Outline view to see the target center which is from the first circle
d. As the path of the bigger circle selected, choose the Rotate tool
d1. Choose Rotate tool
d2. Press Alt then point/click to the center of the first circle
d3. A pop up menu will appear. Type 90 in the degrees value then press copy.
d4. Press Ctrl+D to repeat what you have done (do it 2 times)
Create the Shapes (outline view)
a. Select all path / all circle
b. Find Shape builder tool or (Shift+M)
c. Select the areas that will be merged in a shape
d. Clean the file (many residual shapes left)
Go out of the Outline view (Ctrl+Y again)
a. (paint / change fill) give shapes temporary colors so you could identify them in layers (still using shape builder tool)
b. Using the select tool adjust to the desired color
