: Is there any RSVP service/format that allows you to fill in different recipients' names and do your own design? I'm in need of making a digital invitation card for a large number of recipients.

I'm in need of making a digital invitation card for a large number of recipients.
The sender has to be able to fill in each recipient's name
I need to be able to do my own design (for all/most elements, not just a banner with my own image, etc)
No need for physical prints.

Any suggestions? Should I make a PDF with a fillable box (for recipient names) with a PDF editor? any other format that allows me to do this? Or any online services?
Thank you

It all depends on the software you use to design & invitation delivery method. If you can update your question to include the software(s) you use to design & invitation delivery method:

But never the less, here are some options:

1- Web Page: create your web page & dynamically update the names (and any other text) using url parameters (with php or javascript).

2- Web form using Wordpress or Google Forms. With wordpress the client can receive a simple email response when the invitee submits data.

3- Using indesign & a spreadsheet. Adobe documentation linked below helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/data-merge.html
4- Design with Adobe Illustrator & use variables (I never personally tested it) helpx.adobe.com/au/illustrator/using/data-driven-graphics-templates-variables.html

For things of this nature (e.g. personalized tickets), I found the easiest is to use Word (etc) to output a PDF with the changing data in such a way that the text is in the correct position and the page size is correct, but otherwise blank, and then apply the fixed matter (the fixed design) as a watermark set to 100% size, 100% opacity and "behind" the page.

This is also a savings in terms of file size, since the art is only stored once and referenced for each page.

One might take a whole list, emit it as PDF, set the watermark, and then extract each page as an individual file. This would, of course, be a problem for figuring out which file is for which person, but for a 1-up page, the page number itself would be the record number from the merge (or a 1-based offset)

Yes this can be done, hell you can do this with a text editor if you are so inclined (using search and replace). However, your technical competency and what software you have available greatly affect which approaches you will succeed in using.

So yes you can do this in MS Word, InDesign, Illustrator, inkscape and even sketch which according to comments is what you are using

See this plugin for sketch, for one example. You could easily make your own
