I as experiencing something very strange.

I used AI to created a profile picture for Pinterest and Instagram that is basically a block diffident in half, one section solid black and another solid white. The color values are #000000 and #ffffff respectively.

When I upload the image as a profile picture to either of these platform, the color values change and the white becomes slightly grey. On Pinterest for example the white is displayed as #f7f7f7 , a far cry from pure white.

I am also experiencing a massive drop in image quality when i try uploading other pictures as profile images.
