There are some thing that you must not change as :


(<title>) tag of the pages,
Meta Tags like meta keywords and meta description (if any)
Heading tags (<h1><h2>...<h6>),
Content of the page,
Url structure of the page
Google verification code


Except these you can do any changes and Google won't take you down in ranking.
