: How many characters of text would count as sufficient "content" above the fold for mobile? It seems that google still refuses to pay for my idea of having the most important part of my mobile
It seems that google still refuses to pay for my idea of having the most important part of my mobile web page (the picture) to fill the screen. I guess this is because google believes all the content is "below the fold".
Now I feel that I have to slightly wreck user experience by making the user scroll slightly by adding more textual content on the first screen.
On my desktop site, theres tons of content above the fold, and the picture begins mostly on the second part (after scrolling) and I'm earning money on that.
So my question then is just how many characters of user readable text do I need at minimum for google to think that I have sufficient content above the fold? I don't want users to have to scroll too much to see the picture.
