I have owned a website for about 8 years and I have 0 inbound links at the moment. Now that I decide to start the website, I wish to purchase an old domain with 1.6k inbound links and use 301 redirects on that website to my 8 year old domain name.

Will my 8 year old website receive the inbound links from the old website that I bought? Will Google count it as backlinks for my 8 year old domain name website?
