Google deprecated its AJAX crawling scheme which seems to suggest that it can now index JavaScript applications.
People now start testing the limits of what the bot can do with JavaScript, with various results (some succesfull, some less so).
It's clear to everybody that Google can index some JavaScript, but what about a full fledged SPA? Something build with React for example, or Angular?
We have a React build app, with components that asychronously load to compose the page, with XHR and WebSocket requests. We have fed this to the "Fetch as Google" tool and we got an empty page. Google only sees the bootstraping HTML, nothing else.
So, my question is. Can Google make sense of a single page application or not? Seems not from what we've tested, so why are they deprecating the AJAX crawling scheme?
