We have a campsite, one of our employees job was to manage all the online presence of the campsite, this included the website, all social media accounts, emails etc.

We then fired him because of some stuff that happened and asked him to give us the websites and stuff as it was for our company which he was not a part of anymore and he refused to do so without a very large payment.

We were able to recover 1 out of 2 domain names linked to the campsite as it was registered with as the company as a register, but he registered the other domain under his own name and his registrar refused to give it to us.

The website he has is still promoting our business but we have no control of it and can't edit it or anything, and we can't get it from him without paying him a very large sum of money, so what I done was when I got the domain from his registrar, i made a clone of his website and uploaded it to the domain we got, seems as he made the website when we were still paying him to do so I never thought it would be a problem, and now a few months down the line I'm getting DMCA reports from google and our website has been removed from the search engine. We paid him to do the website and now he is sort of blackmailing us.

He is causing us to lose money and it's a massive hassle, please can someone advise me on what i can do in this situation?
