I have a complex site that has a variety of content that changes irregularly. Due to the complexity of the site, knowing when the site has changed (and therefore when a sitemap needs to be regenerated) requires a complexity that I would rather avoid.

Is there anything wrong with regenerating the sitemap (and pinging Google) daily, based on the current site content, regardless of whether the content has changed? Obviously this would mean that sometimes Google would be pinged multiple times when the content within the sitemap hasn't actually changed.
