So one of my pages has hit really big for a keyword. The keyword is vaguely mentioned in the text and I guess due to a lack of content based on the topic I'm starting to rank.

I want to improve my SEO for this keyword, namely by giving it a proper slug/permalink related to the keyword. My fear is that this may decimate my existing SERP. Is there a best practice where I can fine-tune the heck out of it and not risk losing any of it's power?

Or should I leave it alone and let it do it's own thing? Focus on other SEO practices instead of the permalink (which I've already begun to do)?
