I appreciate this topic has been covered many times in varying degrees however hopefully what I'm about to ask isn't classed as duplicate!
In short, I'm working on a website for a client where the goal of the site is to link people to where they need to get to (externally) for their specific need.
for example, one page may be about hi-fi systems, in this page, there are say 10 links in the form of blog posts, to other pages out on the internet which contain the relevant advice / information. And along with each link is a few lines of text extracted directly from the source site.
My point has always been that these few lines of text should be authored by my client however he insists that the text must be from the source site.
Is this something that is likely to be an issue in the future and I should just tell him he needs to write his own or is there a way to effectively create such a site (directory if you like) using the original site content and still get a decent number if hits from searches?
Any input on this would be more that welcome.
thanks for reading!!
