I want to create two different blogs, the former (1) will be focused on images, the latter (2) on texts. The two blogs may be considered similar enough if we refer to the general background and target.

I already have a website for 1, I'm using wordpress with a comic theme.

For 2, I'm deciding between:


creating another website with a different domain and connect the two blogs by inserting links in the contents; I'd use a theme more focused on articles in this case.
adding the blog 2 to the existing one (1). I'd use a section in the menu for 2, therefore it would never appear in the main page but only as a subdomain. As I said, I already have the comic theme installed on 1 and want to keep it.


My questions:


Which is the best choose for SEO optimization?
Should I consider other elements (technical troubles in creating content, slow webpages, ...)?
