I'm willing to add Schema.org Event markup on the homepage of my website, but I know that Google doesn't show rich snippets for structured data added on the homepage of the website.

Even if Google doesn't show rich snippets for event markup on the homepage, are there any other benefits of doing it? If not, is it allowed at all?

I've events listed on the homepage of my site and I am thinking to mark them using Schema.org.

Can someone advise if it is good to add the Event schema on the homepage?
