I am amateur when it comes to the choice of the web server.

I need to host 3 low-to-medium traffic Wordpress websites and I'm looking at budget cloud server options.

There are many recommendation & comparison sites (I know that most of these are affiliates, so I don't really take these recommendations too seriously), but it's a good starting point to see what is out there and available in my budget.

I was wondering what specifications I should be looking at when choosing the server?

Where I'm currently stuck is that there are hosts such as Hostgator or Bluehost that need no introduction and for my budget, they offer 4GB RAM, 4 CPU's, Unlimited Storage and Unmetered Bandwidth.

For me, that sounds like a no brainer. That's the best specs I've see around.

But there are other hosts there that offer for example only 2GB RAM, 1 CPU, 40G Storage, 2000GB Bandwidth and are even more expensive and have even better rankings.

So what is is that I should be looking at when choosing a fast budget cloud hosting?

Should I be looking at the specs, RAM, CPU's etc. or is there something else that's more important?
