I have 2 websites, one in English and another in Portuguese, both are using an awful SaaS that doesn't offer localization tooling and I can't use another platform. They are basically the same site, but with different product catalogs.
I need a third 'global' site that delivers the site in the language the user specifies. The third site would basically be a landing page redirecting to the site which the user selected.
My question is, how bad is that for SEO? We have 3 domains: global.site, english.site, portuguese.site. Could I serve both sites, in the same URL (http://global.site)? Some sort of URL mapping magic, like: global.site/en-us/about displays the content of english.site/about, and global.site/pt-br/sobre displays the content of portuguese.site/sobre.
Any thoughts?
