New to the community and I appreciate everyone's time in advance to answer. I'm wondering those who have done the swap over from HTTP to HTTPS have any of you experienced ranking drops?

I know there are specific ways to do it: i.e 301 redirect add property to Webmaster tools, etc. However my concern is that I have page 1 rankings almost everywhere and have worked hard to obtain this with content, traffic, and our business has really benefited in terms of sales, etc. So I am launching now an online store which is clear I need SSL.

What has been your experiences? I know google's algorithm has got better, so perhaps since they are enforcing it have you seen less drops now than 6 months ago? I've talked to a few friends that do SEO and most said nothing significant as far as drops...but just wondering what everyone's experience has been.

Thanks in advance, it just worries me to do this but i really have no choice with launching a woo commerce store. I mean I know I can up the AdWords budget as an in case scenario. Enforcing it only on the checkout is a bad idea. However I don't want my business to suffer.
