I just wanna ask about modals and how they affect Page Rank.

Case A
It is just modal that appears after user clicks on some button. It's not ad, user is in control so I assume it should be ok for search engine. For example if you click on "Login btn" and the form appears in modal.

Case B
This is something I'm not sure about at all. When you go from search engine to a site and there is layer with some buttons. Yes, it disturbs experience but it informs the user about something important... The point is it is not ad. Does search engine penalize it?

For example here - www.adidas.com/us (try it in anonymous window if the layer won't show)
