I work at with ads in PDF format at a newspaper.

Before exporting, I always convert all the colors to CMYK, however when we get the paper back from the printer, the newsprint color hardly match the colors on screen. For example I had an a mostly red ad (CMYK = 0, 100, 100, 0) on screen this looks like a nice bright red color, however the ad printed as a bright orange instead.

I contacted the printer and they told me that the red should be set as more (0, 100, 80, 0) to print as red.

Is there any way/setting for me to see what the colors will look like on newsprint? (I do understand that newsprint will always be more muted that on screen...)
