Hi, I'm Ryan.

I joined my first graphic design community when I was 8 years old (1993). I'm still a member of that very same community today. We rarely discuss design anymore, just life and work. That's why I like this place, it fills in that void. My favorite thing is a question I know the answer to in the morning. Making nice step by step instructions and lending my knowledge to others is a great way to start the day.

My background is I started doing graphic design when I was a kid. Took 3 years of photography courses, and earned a degree in architecture. From there I was in the US Peace Corps teaching computers overseas. When I returned I became the head designer for a small publishing company which I left in October to become the head of marketing for a manufacturing company.

I love online communities and seeing them grow. They've been a part of my life for so long that I'm not sure where I'd be without them. So far this one is off to a great start, and I want to help keep it on track for years to come.
