I made a logo for my add-in Bottleneck Detector in Microsoft Excel. The following is the first version:

As you notice, my logo on the right is not as clear as the existing items of Excel. Actually, the screenshot made everything less clear; in reality, my logo looks much less clear than the items on the left.

When uploading an add-in, Microsoft requires the logo of several pixel sizes for different purposes: 16x16, 32x32, 64x64, 80x80, 96x96. Initially, I made a logo of 300x300 in PhotoShop, resized it to different sizes. I think the logo we see above is the 32x32 one.

So, does anyone know, given the fixed pixels (eg, 32x32), how to improve the clearness or resolution of a logo? Is there anything I can do in the whole process to make it look clearer?
