I have a grey-scale image. I have selected all bright pixels. I want to remove small clusters of bright pixels from my selection. They are of the same color as larger chunks of pixels. Essentially I want to remove pixels that have, say, fever than 10 connected neighbors from my selection. Clusters of pixels that have more than 10 neighbors should be unaffected.

The small clusters are identical to large clusters in every way, except that they are smaller in size. Smaller in the total amount of pixels.

This is just a sample, the image in question is much bigger and more complex.

I need to select everything that is not black, and then remove small pixel clusters from my selection.
