I'm quite new to Illustrator and it's the first time I'm using textures in it. I'm stuck with changing the colour of it. I've drawn a stone:



I want to add a texture to it (the fill part, not the stroke) with a mask and I downloaded a pack of vector textures from Freepik. One texture looks like this:



Let's say I want this texture to look red. How do I do that? I tried to change its color in the fill/stroke panel but it only works partially:



I also tried the Recolor Artwork but nothing changes.

Is there a simple way to change colors of textures? Right now I'm using red to draw but I want to change the whole object to another color later.
