I am editing an existing SVG file that has some attributes that are required because the SVG file will be used on the web. Example:
<svg baseProfile="basic" version="1.1" viewBox="0 0 896.63 789.47" x="0px" xml:space="preserve" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" y="0px" id="map">
<g region="EU">...</g>
<g region="US">
<path state="CA">...</path>
...
</g>
</svg>
However, when I edit this file in Illustrator (deleting some anchors) and then save the file Save-as-copy or Save) the attributes are removed. How can I keep all 'metadata' that is present in the original file? I am using CC 2017.
