These are my photoshop color settings:


And this is my monitor's profile:


If I take a screenshot and paste it directly on a newly opened document in photoshop, I see a color mismatch.
As soon as I set View -> Proof Setup -> Monitor RGB the colors match exactly

I wasn't able to fully grasp the reasoning behind this, which so far I believe it works this way

1 Colors are first converted to sRGB and then displayed on my monitor

2 A screengrab is actually taking the already converted colors displayed in my monitor

3 Photoshop is converting those already converted colors again in sRGB, causing the problem

Is this the reason this happens? What can I do to solve the problem?
