I've come across a project that requires me to draw plants and trees for Interpretive panels. This is a new endeavor for me and I lack ideas on how such panels are made. An example image is shown below.
Are there anything that I need to focus on while creating interpretive panels?
Which software is best for drawing these plants and trees?
Should I make the illustrations in vector? Or do I hand-draw the subjects?

Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks.
