I have an randomimage.svg file that I wish to place in Illustrator. I normally am able to do this by simply using the place functionality under the file menu, but with the current svg I am trying to work with, I get two errors/warnings:
text on path will be flattend and clipping will be lost on roundtrip to tiny

Is there anything I can do to import an svg image with a clipping path or text into illustrator?
