From Gimp, I want create an animated gif of a rotating gear. Gimp allows me to create several layers and animate these layers :


I create a layer 1 (duplicate of the initial image)
I transform the layer 1 and I rotate (new Angle = 5) it slightly
I create a layer 2 (duplicate of the layer 1)
I transform the layer 2 and I rotate (new Angle = 10) it slightly
I create a layer 3 (duplicate of the layer 2)
I transform the layer 3 and I rotate (new Angle = 15) it slightly
...
I create a layer N (duplicate of the layer N-1)
I transform the layer N and I rotate (new Angle = X) it slightly


In gimp, is there a quick way (with few commands) for create several layers , and, for each layer apply a rotation like in my example ?
