I have file with a transparent background in Gimp. A hand is drawn on file and I would like to place concentric circles on different layers below the hand layer. I create a layer on top of hand layer, afterwards I will move the layer below hand layer. I draw on this layer above hand layer a circle which I stroke. In foreground color selection I make sure my color is red. But, when circle is stroked, color changes to brown. I don't know what is causing this to happen?

any ideas or thoughts
