I have a problem with Adobe Animate CC and I'm an absolute newbie.

I need to get the istance name of a symbol from inside the symbol
inside the symbol I've tryed to use:
this.parent.getChildByName();
or
this.getChildByName();
but null in both cases

Also, why trace doesn't work?
