: Multiple opacities/fills in combined shape in Sketch For an icon design, I have one combined shape with a fill at 100% opacity placed above another shape with the same color fill at 20% opacity.

For an icon design, I have one combined shape with a fill at 100% opacity placed above another shape with the same color fill at 20% opacity. Like this:



I'd like to use a color symbol masked by the icon so I can override the color and create different states(method described here: medium.com/ux-power-tools/a-better-way-to-make-buttons-in-sketch-6c23470f27c). Sort of like this:



So I need to combine these two shapes of differing fills/opacities into one shape so the entire icon masks the symbol on top, but when I combine them the opacities get matched:



I'd prefer not to use two of the color symbols, each masked by both shapes of different fill/opacity, needing to do two overrides, but that may be the only solution.

Any ideas?
