: Intersecting an object through an Element 3D sphere in After Effects I am working on an animation where a character is creating a dark magic sphere in their hand and was able to try out Element
I am working on an animation where a character is creating a dark magic sphere in their hand and was able to try out Element 3D on the work computers. As this is the first time I have used it I am very confused as to how everything operates.
All of the things I have tried so far have resulted in the 3D sphere always being ontop or behind the hand layer and I want it to be in the middle Z space wise so the backfaces are going behind the hand as it rotates around
I have tried making both layers 3D etc and even when the hand is positioned correctly in Z space the sphere layer still renders overtop
Really hoping someone can assist me with this as I am stumped..
