I want to bold a font to make it more legible but it does not have a bold feature. it needs to fit within a certain ratio equal to the logo. This font is put on a path. any suggestions?

I typed out the font
put on path
created a fill and stroke for the type so it became a bit more bold.

the font is legible but I want to see if there is a better way.

the font itself does have some waviness, any way to smooth out the font a bit?

I also need to transform my entire designed logo to fit a certain size. when I select all and group it does change, but if I need to re-edit or re-size the transform or any layer the font text does not scale correctly. ie. i would change it to a larger size and the text would blur so much that the font becomes an unrecognizable blob.
