For questions about image textures, designed to quantify the perceived texture of an image. Texture analysis gives us information about the spatial arrangement of color or intensities in an image or selected regions of images.

Textures are a similar concept to patterns, but whereas patterns tend to be repeated and regular, textures often are 'random' and irregular, such as images of wood, brick, paint, fur or grass. Because of this, texture analysis is a major field in computer graphics.
