: Same content in multiple page can be considered as duplicate content? Can self-referencing canonical tag(rel=“canonical”) to overcome this problem? We have eCommerce website having lots of products
We have eCommerce website having lots of products and tags. SAME PRODUCT can be reside in multiple tags. So, in list page of tag may contains same product which reside in different tag page.
Question:
Is this considered as duplicate content?
How can we overcome this duplicate content problem?
Example:
There is one product for mobile - Samsung Galaxy S7 And tags for this products are below:
Smart Phone
Latest Phone
Budget Phone
So, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be displayed in 3 different listing with different urls.
Here the product is one but displayed in different pages, so can this be considered as duplicate content? And if yes then how to overcome this because this is practical requirement.
Should i add rel="canonical" for self-referencing in tag page?
Please Help me to overcome this problem.
