I have a client that is transferring their webhosting from their registrars limited service to a dedicated VPS with a different host.
As part of this, the email hosting services they have with their registrar will end. I am looking at alternatives for them.
I initially thought that using the VPS's excess storage to host their mailboxes would work but they are fond of keeping all incoming/outgoing emails, large subscription counts, and large email attachments. As a result, they have 10GB+ mailboxes already and this is bound to increase in the future.
Is there any way to host these mailboxes without the need to pay for additional mailbox storage; archiving email, ect.?
Is there a downside to using their VPS vs using dedicated email hosting? Could it effect the website in any way (RAM/CPU concerns)?
Cheers
James
