We've created a guide with specific information from different cities across the country. The end result of this guide is thousands of pages for each city with the information.

The purpose of the guide is to be searchable and provide value to users. It's going to be freely available. The end goal of it is to promote it and get back links to our main product site.

We're hesitant on adding these thousands of pages to the main product site and it's lately increasing slowly on ranking and we don't want to loose that but the back links will surely help.

We're thinking of approaching this two ways:


Add the thousands of pages and the search to main product site and deal with the negative stuff. Promote the search page to get back links.
Add the thousands of pages on a separate domain and still keep the search pages on the main product site. Still promote the search page to the back links.
