currently we developed a website . After we test the website speed in developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/.

So we can see that because of the image size the webpage is loading slow . So after some research we found that we can replace image url with base64 image , so we converted some images to base 64 image using www.base64-image.de/ and paste the code in img src .

After this we check the page speed. Then we can see that page speed increase and now in google page speed insight it is showing 90/100 .

But what is the problem is our total page size increased from 1.2 mb to 4 mb .

But still the google page speed insight showing good score . And gtmetrix.com also providing good score PageSpeed Score B(87%) YSlow Score A (90%) but it indicating that page size is large .

Now what we need to do ? it effect our page rank also ? Please anyone can help for a solution . Please don't tell any cdn solution .
