I setup SSL on my website about 6 months ago. I 301 redirected the old non http url to the new https correctly and submitted a new sitemap.
Google is sending me emails "New Index coverage issue" about 404's the non https version of my website. The urls it highlights are correct in the https version, and the 301 redirects are working correctly.
My website is a subdomain, so I can't set the preferred domain in Webmaster Tools (Restricted to root level domains only).
When I try to use the change of address tool, the https version simply doesn't appear in the list to select from :/
Should I remove the http version of my website from Google Webmaster Tools?
Many thanks
Fred
