Hi, I'm JohnB. I've been hanging around this site for almost 1½ years and I've been a pro tempore moderator for almost 1. I'd love to continue my commitment to moderating this community!

I believe that temperance is the key to successful moderation. I consider myself to be patient and fair. My experience so far has certainly tested my tolerances but not enough to discourage me from continued participation.

There are a few moderation situations that I admittedly could have handled better, but those are often the ultimate learning experiences. I strongly value opposing opinions; I welcome criticism of my decisions made as moderator and always try to incorporate feedback I find valuable.

I often feel like a "black sheep" in this community; I'm surrounded by richly creative individuals, yet my own creativity often feels lacking. I work in print, but rarely am I forced to be creative while working. My education background is rooted in computer science, so my lack of design know-how is mainly what motivated me to join this community. I'm always striving to learn new things and expand my knowledge.
