Why is pdf created from indesign file with just jpg smaller than size of jpg. My indesign file is simply an A1 size document, I add a 9mb (4000 x 3000) jpeg to the indesign file but when I export the to pdf the pdf file is only 2.5MB.
It looks okay onscreen but how it can be so much smaller I'm concerned the quality of my image has gone down, I dont have my pdf options configured to downsample images and the resolution is less than 300dpi anyway.
