I'm a back-end web developer, and I've always wondered how advanced CSS animations are made.

I know the basics of CSS animations (animate, translate, transform, keyframes, ..). But some animations clearly have a storyboard. For example, all animations on the Google Privacy page.

Ok, people are very talented at Google, but I guess they use somes tips or tools to make these animations, right?
