By scripting with ExtendScript Toolkit CS6, I would like to measure the width of the baseline of a selected character.
I'm currenty getting the single-character TextFrame and its position with selection[0].anchor, and the font size with selection[0].textRange.size. I also can get the control box width and height.
Does anyone know how to get the length (in points) of the blue baseline?
Note that the character is rotated, so I can get the rotation matrix: selection[0].matrix.
