I’m a relative newbie to GDSE compared to the current moderators and other active members. I’ve only been using the site for about 10 months, but in that time I’ve visited the site nearly every day and I’ve been busy trying to help out as much as I can. I’ve posted over 170 answers to questions, cast hundreds of votes and raised hundreds of helpful flags. I’ve also reviewed over 2000 questions and answers. All of this has added up to make me the 31st highest ranked user overall by reputation score.

I’m going to carry on doing all of these things whether I end up being a moderator or not, but being a moderator will give me access to more tools and more ways to help. I think the current moderators (and other committed users like Cai) are doing a great job and I’d love to be able to learn more from them and assist them in maintaining and improving the site.
