I have been creating some mood boards, and I have to include some theme colours in each one. I do it using the colour theme tool in InDesign. After doing some print tests, I'm seeing that colours seem washed out compared to the images.
I just tried converting using the screen colour picker on a palette colour and copying the CMYK values from ShareX. I compared the CMYK value the palette would give me if I just paste the colour in the frame with the value ShareX gave me after converting from the screen colour. I printed both colours and the image, and the one that I converted using ShareX was much more accurate to the image.
I can assume this is caused by InDesign converting an RGB colour to CMYK, but I only know the very basics of colour profiles, I'm a design student. I would like to know what I'm doing wrong in InDesign. The colour profile I use is the default, Europe general purpose 3.
