This happens in new documents I create in illustrator too. If i draw a line with the basic brush definition, it looks scraggly likely pictured below. I even changed my strokes to the sketchy brush definition and then back to basic, but it appears that there is a permanent rough edge to every single stroke I make. Any clue if this is a setting problem and how I can fix it?
