I'm working with a Smart Object stored as a layer within my psd. The linkage between the two works, but I've just noticed that if I go into my Smart Object and disable the visibility any of the Smart Object's layers and save, this visibility change isn't affected within the psd (if I disable a layer's visibility within a Smart Object and save, that layer is still visible in the psd).
Why is this? Am I doing something wrong, or is this really a feature that is missing from Photoshop CC in 2017?
The only other post I could find on the issue is: Smart Object Layer Visibility with Layer Comps , where it seems that the only way is a somewhat tedious workaround.
