So I selected the model by adjusting LEVELS in the Red Channel of the image so I can get the hair of the model perfectly.

After selecting, I just shift to the original image , and do Layer by Cut/Copy.
The result is :

Notice how the background is shade of gray but only patches are completely transparent.
I do not what the problem is. I have done this before and it hasn't happen anytime.
