Say you scroll to a point on the screen, and you touch down on a button that's supposed to animate new buttons up onto the screen. For example, on Tumblr if you long-press the reblog button on tumblr, your account icon pops up. You don't have to be at a specific point on the screen/feed in order to do this. I want to re-create this exact animation.
Is there a way to do this without knowing the user's exact scroll position? I'm able to accomplish the animation by determining the scroll position myself, but the animation in that case can only occur if the user touches down on the button at that specific scroll position. I want the user to be able to experience the animation when they press down on the button at any scroll position, and not have to predetermine the position in order for it work. I hope that makes sense.
