So I've noticed over multiple document types that Indesign doesn't seem to display things the same way or XY location as illustrator or pdfs. I'm wondering if this is to do with how it previews the images? Or if this is an issue with my settings somewhere? Its particularly noticeable with fonts.
For example -
Import either a PDF or a .Ai file on X 0,0 - crop to crop on an A4 artboard.
I then try and recreate both my guides and my textboxes using the X and Y left anchors, the same font formatting and details directly from illustrator - and this happens.
(ignore the colour its different so you can see the two more clearly)
I've even done a test using stock Illustrator/Indesign fonts.
I have the same problem with PDFs, and this has happened on other documents I just decided to document it this time. Obviously Its not helpful when working across a whole bunch of Adobe software, or if you need to recreate something with identical measurements for whatever reason.
Perhaps someone knows a work around or how to fix it? Is this an update to the textbox over versions?
Or what the cause is -
Thanks a bunch
