I am a visual designer and I have recently got this project on researching web/app design practices for Asian countries e.g. Japan, Hong Kong etc. I have been trying to search for books or other resources but couldn't find one. I hope someone can refer me some resource to study the same.

For instance: If I need to design a mobile application for Japan, I need to understand how does the design work in Japan. E.g if Red is to stop, green is to go in USA, what is standard people follow in countries like Japan etc. How do they deal with the Typography and what are some best practices for the local user of those countries and how it is different than from western countries. I would be working on web/mobile app designs. I hope someone can guide me
